''Is this the real life? / Is this just fantasy? ...''

January 2000 — "It's over, Prime!" / "Never!"

The band isn't going anywhere, really. Read the diary...

We're done for the summer, so here's the write-up of the gigs we did before b#ggering off to university... if you want to read 'em, see the gigs page...

An American band have mailed me to say that... they're Airstrip One... For more information on our rather more professional US counterparts, read the band diary...

Some recording work has been coming the way of our guitarists and guest singer. They could be heard at a prestigious shopping complex not a million miles away from you. More blatant gossip on the diary page...

The band history has been quickly and inadequately reduced to an insufficient synopsis and used to beef up the newly-created diary page...

Oh yeah, and I finally updated these pages... but you've noticed that, haven't you? I'll shut up, I will...

Suffice to say that redundant references to ex-partners have been removed, lyrics have been updated if I could get the authors to write the words down, etc, etc, etc.

"Freedom is just another way of saying that the government has nothing left to lose...
The cause of and the solution to all of life's problems is booze..."

Um, Airstrip One?

A student rock band which consisted of five blokes and guest gal. We played, er, rather infrequently, in the Stourbridge area of the West Midlands, doing a fairly even split between our own stuff and a diverse range of covers.

The classic line-up:

Al Kirkup, Vocals & Guitars
Darryl Macleod, Guitars
Stuart Denyer, Vocals
Pete Williams, Percussion
Glyn Williams, Bass

With guest vocals and taxi service provided by Vicky Portman.

Plus some live guitars, vocals and support by Gaz Greenalge, and (rare) keyboards by Paul Kettle.

No, I have no idea why, honest...
