"Who's responsible for this
vacuous waffle?"

My first name's Stuart, but I generally go by my surname (no points if you can't guess...) I'm a twenty year old English student and netizen at Aberystwyth (part of the University of Wales.) A big "hi" to everybody I know, especially Sarah-Jane. Love you!

"Why does this site exist?"

To satisfy my ego. Because I want to. Why does anyone produce homepages? Generally to show off, or provide something useful: there's a fair bit of information here on a variety of subjects which interest me, some of it collected together nowhere else, which others might appreciate (the Transformers movie scripts, for example.)

There's also the handy side-effect that when I'm trying to think of a catchy song or other quote, if it's here then I have an instant reference guide whenever I'm on-line...

This site still provides space for the Unofficial 1997 Summerhill School yearbook, an ill-received leavers' charity project. If you read it and happen to have a sense of humour, please donate a small sum of money to a charitable organisation of your choice. We suggest the UK Air Ambulance service.

"Any boring technical details?"

This site is designed in 800 x 600, but should look okay a bit bigger (and generally smaller, too.) I use IE 6.0, Opera 5.0 & Mozilla 0.9.x (~Netscape 6+) to test with, as these are the latest major browsers. Generally the DHTML here will degrade gracefully, although Netscape 4 is very poor at handling the stylesheet aspects.

There should be nothing which will hinder your viewing of the actual meat of the pages which are on offer here. If there is, please tell me! You'll notice that if you save a page as raw HTML, it will have no fancy layout. This is intentional.

More about my PC setup and how I put this website together can be found elsewhere, should you be feeling particularly bored.

"Who else deserves credit?"

Tripod is my recommended free web space provider because they give you a short URL, flexible advertising options, 50Mb of space, have pretty fast servers, and allow FTP and whole site ZIP uploading. They are a bit of a pain regarding non-HTML file downloads, but since I don't have many of those, you'll just have to cope... GuestPage provide a nice free guestbook, and BraveNet provide tasteful web counters. Thanks to all of these! Finally, cjb.net offer an excellent free (and advert-free) redirection service in the event that I move this site anywhere else.

As far as things like graphics etc go, a big thank-you to anyone who contributed anything, and if you feel you deserve credit/links or that I've accidentally ripped you off, please get in touch and I shall rectify that situation ASAP.

This site is currently maintained with a magazine copy of AceExpert3... were I choosing a freeware editor, though, I would choose one of the ones listed here.

Finally a big greeting to all of the bands who serve as my inspiration and stress relief: too many to list, but I thank you all.

"Why does this site never get updated?"

Because I have a life, and it's generally fairly busy. I'd update far more frequently if I got some feedback. As it stands, it's something I do as a hobby, generally to relax creatively.

If you have any constructive comments to make, please e-mail me (denyersarea@yahoo.com) or sign the guestbook!
