June 2002

Woo! Added in all of my essays, my writing class portfolio submissions, uploaded a small showcase of sig images, and generally given a few of the older files a freshening where applicable. That's the main new content, though, and fairly substantial 'tis too.

I'm working on a montage of recent photos...

March 2002

I've upgraded my PC, making it much nicer to work with... and I got myself a camera!* New photos! Finally switched to banner ads rather than pop-ups, too... and the Charlotte band pages have returned to Tripod, gaining fourteen new MP3s including two interviews and 12 live tracks! This gig material can be downloaded here. It's lots better than previous recordings! Go take a listen!

* Well, actually, I bought a webcamera, sold it to my flatmate, and bought a cheap digital camera. That's how long it's been since I updated this place.

I've added a page of Grimlock images and stuff (more to come!), and my CV has made a return, updated and expanded. Check out the e-Quiz, slightly updated free software guide, and associated bit in webdesign/... lots more good intentions to come, but very little time. There's also the start of a short poems collection, and other quotes. The informational marijuana leaflet has been converted to HTML for your convenience.

August 2001

Updated things which had gone out of date, such as free software links, information about my system, etc. Have decided to try to do smaller, more frequent updates... having got this site to a form which I'm happy with, I can keep things such as my TF trade list current pretty easily. Expect more fairly soon! [Famous last words...]

July 2001

This site is still hosted on Tripod (for now), but will be referenced for the future by http://denyer.cjb.net, so please update your bookmarks! Thanks!

Coolest new stuff is photos of friends & Aberystwyth... of which more to come! I've also updated the free software recommendations, added a new graphics section for sigs and comic scans, a Transformer collection & trading page, my second year English essays, and lots of minor updates and tweaks!

As usual, I've redecorated the place, and Tripod helped with its excellent ZIP upload facility. Since a stable Netscape 6.x is now available, I've abandoned NS4 and it's abysmal HTML & CSS implementation. It's not coming back onto my system!

There's also more on the Charlotte homepages... the biggest change being that the MP3s are now greater in number, of higher quality, and stored on MP3.com!

March 2001

The all-new Charlotte band homepages have moved to a different home. They're getting far more development than my own homepages, and are packed with interesting stuff relating to the band, including MP3 downloads. Check 'em out!

Navigation bars here are now created with JavaScript, so please make efforts to turn it on or update your browser if necessary... it makes it so much easier to provide decent navigation controls, and also means smaller files (which equal quicker browsing!) Remember, JavaScript isn't Java — it isn't bulky, gimmicky or browser-crashing! It's half of the DHTML equation, and is here to stay on the net.

All of my first year university essays have now been posted, which somebody somewhere (somehow) may find useful. As ever, I promise more regular updates... usually this turns out to be a blatant lie. Will this chain be broken? Watch this space. Then get bored and find something else to do.

I've uploaded some wallpapers and system customisation stuff, and some Transformers fanfic and art which isn't anywhere else on the net to the best of my knowledge. Oh, and some song lyric quotes, and more general wibble. Maybe this time the trend to be creative will last longer after all...

June 2000

"Vietnam, me no update you long time." Sorry, I've been reading The Beach. My excuse, as ever, is that I've been trying to have a life away from the keyboard. But hey, now I'm back, with a brand new look and design that's hopefully going to be easier to maintain; one that I might actually stick with... It's also easier to navigate! Check out the all-new JavaScript search engine. (NB: since removed.)

Minor updates over the course of the week: New front page, added mug shots of my uni flatmates. Hi guys! Thanks for putting up with me!

The site now has it's own e-mail address for correspondance, and I'll probably eventually kill off my Hotmail account and open another — people I know will get my Bigfoot forwarding address in due course. The reason for this shake-up is, of course, spam e-mail... more on this annoyance is written elsewhere.

Added: Photos, band and music stuff, software recommendations, and so forth. Some stuff which I consider redundant has been finally been removed: it's time to move on. There's lots that I could write in this update section; but I'm more interested in getting new pages sorted right now. Hope you like the new site!
